Geeze louise, building this car is going to take awhile. The body doesn't quite fit the chassis the way it should, so it looks like I'm going to have to modify the chassis. Not exactly what I wanted to have happen. I was sort of hoping I could screw the body down then get right to fabbing the interior close out panels. How depressing.

Long road indeed.

I have always wanted a 427 Cobra. I even had a chance to work for Shelby building them, but could never afford to begin. Finally, I have been able to purchase several componets I need to begin my build. I bought a 427 chassis that is very accurate, and a fiberglass body that was molded from an original 1966 Shelby 427 Cobra.

The plan is to build an authentic Cobra that I can have fun with. I don't really want a race car, and I don't really want a show car. In the end I hope to have something I can be proud of.
